My first time on Rinse.FM

Last weekend I paid a visit to Rinse FM for the first time. MA1 was kind enough to let me hijack the second part of his legendary show. Couple of clangers here and there made me realise I should maybe stop making my beats so skippy. And that I should burn all my CDs again. I also had these mad scripts in my head to completely take over the mic, but I was left all alone in the studio and forgot how to use it. Heh, better luck next time. Special thanks to MA1, Rat, the management, the Vibe club for letting me use their facilities many a time, Alex Nut, Amy&Warren, Christmas shoppers, everyone locked in.
Lone – Ecstasy Friends

I recently started buying albums again, and Lone – Ecstasy Friends is one of those albums everyone should get. It has a healthy dose of character and soul. It’s emotive without being mushy and if you like it, make sure you get his Lemurian LP.
Sinden – Pacemaker Mix #2

Sinden knows good music, good gear and good urban fashion. I’m certainly a fan of all 3 categories, and so are you if you’re reading this blog. Intro is now sorted, so here’s a new mix from the man himself, featuring essential new dancefloor ammo including my yet unreleased track See Want Get Now.
DJ Zinc – BBC Essential Mix November 2009

Big bad and heavy! The one and only DJ Zinc delivers an awesome Essential Mix of what he has coined as ‘Crack House’ (surprisingly the BBC haven’t censored the term). Grab this mix for its great highlights, one of which is around the 0:39:30 mark into the mix. You’ll know.
Download HERE, tracklist after the jump.
Fresh Audio

Before my next EP drops on Tempa in December, I thought I should put some new stuff up for listening purposes. These are not on the EP and will probably come out next year, however I still got some tracks that nobody’s heard so here we go.
CosminTRG-Make Me Want You
Cosmin TRG – Stush
Freeland – Wish I Was Here (TRG Remix)

Just a quick word to let you now that the remixes of Freeland’s Cope™ album are out. You can grab your digitals on Beatport. I remixed Wish I Was Here some time ago so it’s still a 140BPM tune, let me know what you think. Check out the other tracks remixed by Prins Thomas, Sirius Mo, Joker, Nosaj Thing and others.
Hud Mo: Genius.
This is a video containing snippets of Hudson Mohawke’s album for Warp, Butter. It’s nothing short of genius, and if you haven’t heard the man play out, it’s about time you pawned your TV set and went to see him wherever he’s about to play. The jingles on this video are brillliant too.
Download Rising 5 taken from the forthcoming album.
Hudson Mohawke -- Butter out October 26, 2009 on Warp.
A Made Up Sound – Wire
One of my favourite jams lately is A Made Up Sound -- Wire. It’s a beast of tune, can’t get enough of it. It’s so gangsta it hurts.
A Made Up Sound -- Archive is out on Clone Basement Series. Get it now!
New mix and interview

New tune on Benji B’s show
Last week-end a new tune off my forthcoming Tempa EP was aired on Benji B’s excellent Deviation show on BBC Radio 1Xtra. Thanks Benji!
Charlie – Spacer Woman (1983)
You all need some classic Italo in your life: this is one of the tunes you need to hear. Good luck trying to get that bassline hook out of your head! And may I draw your attention to that arpeggiator. Delicious. 1983. Get to know.
Anthony Rother – Hacker
Used to rock to this back in the day. I kind of liked the early stuff on Datapunk more than its contemporary sound, but with a badman haircut like that, Anthony Rother can do just about whatever he wants!
Hot City – Hot City Bass
This is one of my favorite jams lately. I play it in every set and goes down well at festivals, Fabric, pubs and strip joints alike.
Buy this beauty as a 10″ or as digitals.
When you’ve done that, you can treat yourself to a freebie via FACT Magazine.
That FACT Mix in August
Was really honored to contribute a mix for FACT magazine back in August. They hosted the link for 3 weeks, so now it’s up for grabs up here. It’s been pretty popular with over 7500 downloads so if you didn’t check it out yet, here’s your chance. Let me know what you think via comments as well!
